LET’S CREATE A NEW VISION FOR PARKING IN LONG BEACH.

For too long, politicians and city officials have failed to prioritize making Long Beach a more parking friendly City. It took me 6 months to canvass the entire 2nd District, and what I have learned is that parking is the number one issue in 9 out of 10 households. And yet little to no progress has been made towards improving the quality of life of Long Beach commuters.

There is a lack of willpower for City Hall to do anything about our parking crisis because they are deeply invested in it: City Hall will earn $20 million from parking tickets in 2020, and the vast majority of that money comes from District 2.

We need to come together as a coalition of commuters and working people to come up with practical parking solutions, and then demand that they are implemented. Join us on Sunday the 26th of January for the 2020 Parking Summit, where we will brainstorm and strategize how to add parking in our District, and organize our community to advocate for implementation. Long Beach residents outside of CD2 are welcome to come.
